MPFP, llc / M. Paul Friedberg and Partners, established in 1958, is one of the best known interdisciplinary landscape architecture, urban design and planning firms in the country. The firm's experience is extensive and the quality of services has been recognized by over ninety professional awards. The range of services provided include planning, programming, designing, engineering and construction supervision of commercial-institutional facilities, parks and play environments, plazas, malls and new residential communities. These, in conjunction with large scale urban design and planning services, provide the capability to direct complex projects from the concept to implementation stage and assure clients of continuity throughout the process. MPFP's experience has been predominantly planning, open space, parks and plazas, the majority of which have been out-of-town projects where the firm was the lead designer. This cumulative experience of successfully designing and managing projects at a distance has been proven by the long list of successful projects completed. During the past several years the firm has expanded its domestic and international work to include projects in the following locations: San Francisco, Phoenix, Washington DC, many projects in the New York metropolitan area; Israel; Brazil; Greece; Egypt; Turkey; Pakistan; India; Hong Kong; Japan. These projects and the utilization of modern technologies (fax, e-mail, etc.) have enabled the firm to expand its highly successful work efforts without the need to be directly 'on site'. The firm presence on these projects is usually augmented by local representation in the city / state / country in the form of local Architects, Landscape Architects or Engineers who provide the 'eyes and ears' for the firm.

The firm has worked successfully with municipalities, arts groups, architects, and artists. In the past decade MPFP has collaborated with well known architects such as Cesar Pelli, James Ingo Freed, Kohn Pedersen Fox, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Arata Isozaki, I.M. Pei, Edward Barnes, Louis Davis, Samuel Brody, and others, and has also collaborated with internationally recognized artists such as Scott Burton, Siah Armajani, Jackie Ferrara, Walter Dusenbery, Ann & Patrick Poirier and others.
