RECREATIONAL FACILITIESArizona Canal Demonstration Project
This competition winning design is a conceptual approach and prototype, as a demonstration project for the remaining 99 miles of canal. As the last vestige of desert in the City of Phoenix, the intention was not to transform the landscape but express the existing natural beauty of the place and make it more accessible through the experiencing of unique light and color which is true only around the canal environment, this is contrasted with the surrounding area.
